The Whirlygig was constructed for the 1998 season. It is 9 feet tall with
a blade span of 10 feet. I have always liked those candle powered whirling center
pieces, which is why I built this larger one. The base is quit strong and has been well
tested. I have seen as many as 4 people sitting on it while having their
picture taken. The blades and angels normally rotate slowly but in a 40mph
wind I have seen it really spin!
